Welcome to Trosilin!

Somewhere in a great ocean, a lonely continent lies. This continent is known as Trosilin by its inhabitants, and it is home to many countries and cultures. Civilizations have risen and died here. From tribal communities to sprawling technological empires, Trosilin has seen much through its time. As long as the people can remember, there have never been visitors to the continent.

Until now, of course. A group of researchers from another continent have arrived, scientists of many fields, and they are traveling the continent documenting everything they come across. We at the university of Fugate have decided that we will publish all of their notes as soon as they arrive back at our facilities. We believe a discovery of this size is to be shared with the people of our world. If any modifications to information that has already been published is necessary, we will make a note of this. Our team will travel country by country, region by region, so we will publish their information in this format.
Please enjoy your own exploration through the wonderful continent of Trosilin!

Our researchers are currently in Kwallt!

Meet Our Team!

Kadu Drest
Kadu Drest is our team leader. While the researchers on our team are working on gathering a much information as they can, Mr. Drest makes sure the team gets where they need to be. He has years of experience leading various expeditions, and has come out of his early retirement specifically for this once in a lifetime opportunity. He is charged with keeping track of everyone, managing provisions, and charting out a route while on the ground in Trosilin. He will be working together closely with Prof. Posa in order to try to communicate with the local civilizations.
"It was a big decision to give up my job and go back to what I was doing in my younger years, but I think the opportunity to see something none of us has ever seen before, and to be the one leading it... In the end, it's just not something you can let yourself give up easily."

Gurum Perrolch
Gurum Perrolch is an associate professor of Biology at the University of Fugate, as well as an alumnus. He specializes in evolutionary biology and has a backround in zoology. Prof. Perrolch's career has mostly consisted of doing research in various research groups around the globe, and he has only been a professor with us for the past 5 years. Prof. Perrolch has published many studies, most of which deal with the effects of a changing environment on the evolution of different species. Prof. Perrolch has stated that he is participating in this exploration to further our understanding of the way animals evolve in isolation. He also said he is incredibly excited to be able to document the animals the team discovers on Trosilin.
Prof. Perrolch's findings are available under the Animalia link.
"I simply wish to bring a greater understanding of the world we live in to everyone at home. Discovering this new continent has shown us that our vision of the world is far from complete, my main goal in this expedition is to try to fill in those gaps as much as I can."

Tarain Ekaa
Tarain Ekaa is senior professor of botanical biology at the university of Cridon. He spends most of his time teaching, but has assisted many students many students with their Master's and doctorate theses. Prof. Ekaa's area of expertise lies mostly with the biochemistry of plants, and he will attempt to document the many ways in which the flora of Trosilin differs from the flora we are familiar with. His research will be conducted in close cooperation with Prof. Trisseash.
Prof. Ekaa's findings are available under the Natura link.
"We have been blessed with an opportunity not many people will ever be offered. I intend to document my findings in such a way that all the people still at home will understand the beauty of new discoveries."

Ningal Trisseash
Ningal Trisseash is a senior member of the Ahor Geological Society, having led its field research group for 15 years. Her current area of expertise lies with stratigraphy, but her background lies strongly in soil science and the study of the systems in which geology participates. She will be taking soil samples while in Trosilin, which will be sent to our university for further analysis and storage when she is done with her own analyses. Prof. Trisseash will also be working together with Dr. Monia.
Dr. Trisseash's findings can be found under the Humus link.
"The prospect of a whole new world to explore is incredibly exciting, and the fact that we will be the first to explore it only makes it better. I can't wait to share the things we see with the people back home."

Attala Disson
Attala Disson is a professor in anthropology at the university of Fugate, specializing in the sociocultural aspects of the subject. She has a strong interest in the role of art and religion in tribal and isolated communities, though she has also spent 5 years in ecological anthropology. Prof. Disson will be working together with Prof. Ylathe to provide as complete a picture of Trosilin culture as possible.
Her and Prof. Ylathe's findings can be found under the Gentes link.
"Getting the chance to study a whole host of cultures that are so completely isolated from the rest of our world is like a dream come true. Fiachu and I are incredibly excited, we can't wait to see what we'll discover about these cultures."

Fiachu Ylathe
Fiachu Ylathe is a professor of anthropology at the university of Ocrine. He is specialized in the legal and political developments in civilizations, with a further focus on the workings of both in urban environments. Previously, he has studied these same developments in rural environments. He will be working together with Prof. Disson.
Prof. Ylathe and Prof Disson's findings can be found under the Gentes link.
"It's unbelievable how many things we still don't know about the ways cultures develop, but I believe this expedition will be able to shed some more light on the subject."

Talorcan Gaucris
Talorcan Gaucris is a professor of economics at the university of Fugate. His research centers around the ways in which economical systems develop, and the interaction between systems that results in changing systems. This will be his focus in the expedition to Trosilin. He will be working closely with Dr. Monia.
Prof. Gaucris' findings are available under the Mercatus link.
Prof. Gaucris declined our request for a statement.

Triver Monia
Triver Monia is the leader of the Research Group History at the university of Ocrine. Dr. Monia is known for her advocacy for the increased usage of primary sources in the writing of essays and books. Her current interest lies with the development of countries from city-states, and the dissolution of empires into countries. Dr. Monia will also be assisting various other members of the team in their research.
Dr. Monia's writings will be made available under the link Historia.
"I'm happy I get to see these new sights even at my old age, and that I get to study a wholly different kind of history. I'm also happy I'll be there to help all these other academics get their facts straight."

Atuwe Posa
Atuwe Posa is a professor of linguistics at the university of Fugate. She is specialized in the descriptive study of languages, and has been on various expeditions to record the languages of isolated societal groups. She has written and co-written multiple books on the phonology, morphology, grammar, and realized usage of these languages. She will be working closely with Dr. Monia.
The findings of Prof. Posa will be published under the link Linguae.
"It's every linguistic's dream to be the one to discover a new language, and the fact that I get to listen to all these new languages and new voices on this continent blows my mind."
